senators schumer menendez and john mccain, lindsey graham and likely presidential hopeful marco rubio. today they introduced their principles for that immigration plan. yes, this is a work plan devised by senators that rest on four legislative pillars. they include creating a tough but fair path to citizenship for 11 million unauthorized immigrants in the u.s. reforming the legal immigration system. create an effective system to end the hiring of future unauthority id'd workers anauthorizing an improved process of getting workers here. you can do that by lunch. senators schumer and mccain discuss why their principles could be an idea then a proposal and then a bill could be offered so soon a the last election. >> the politics on this issue have been turned upside down. for the first time ever there is more political risk in opposing immigration reform than opposing it. >> the republican party is losing the support of our hispanic citizens. weeswe realize that are there many issues that we are in agreement with our hispanic citizens but this is a pre-imminent issue with those citizens.
